Rice Cereal

Baby, in her natural habitat: a blue bumbo. Little does she know that her caretakers are going to try to feed her nasty tasting goo. She smiles.

Goo has been inserted into the oral cavity. Goo was rejected.

Baby has found the source of the goo. She pulls it closer for further inspection. She starts gnawing on the dish.

Baby tries to purge the foul tasting gruel from her system.

Here she is trying to trick her caretakers into thinking that she is actually feeding herself, so she does not have to ingest more cereal.

All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. She seemed to enjoy it, even if she didn't know how to swallow it. She loved chewing on the spoon, so we would dip it in the rice cereal and let her chew. It seemed to be the best way for her to 'eat.' She gagged herself a couple times, but by the end I think she figured out why that kept happening. She's a smart little girl.
